Tired of Feeling Overworked and Undervalued? Read This.
If you’re an immigration attorney who’s been feeling exhausted, unsupported, or stuck in a work environment that just isn’t working for you anymore—we get it.
We know the immigration world feels especially heavy right now. With constant policy shifts, new procedures, and uncertainty at every turn, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But just because the work is challenging doesn’t mean you have to carry that weight alone—or feel stressed all the time
Are you seeking the support of a team and the guidance of a mentor attorney?
At Hughes Law Group, we’ve built a firm culture that supports you through the chaos, so you can do meaningful work without burning out. We’re a boutique immigration law firm that cares deeply about our clients and our team. We believe attorneys do their best work when they’re supported, respected, and have room to breathe. We offer the flexibility of remote work, the camaraderie of a tight-knit team, and real opportunities for growth.
We’re currently looking for an empathetic, intelligent, and driven immigration attorney who wants to feel good about the work they do—and the place they do it.
What This Role Looks Like:
This is a full-time, fully remote position focused primarily on non-detained removal defense, with a mix of family-based and humanitarian immigration work as well. You will be responsible for an assigned caseload, including representation at master and individual hearings as well as managing/meeting all court deadlines.
You’ll work closely with the managing attorney on case strategy, and you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas and grow professionally. We believe in structure and systems that make your life easier—not more stressful.
Who You Are:
- You have at least two years of removal defense experience
- You’re bilingual in English and Spanish
- You write clearly and persuasively, and you’re detail-oriented
- You’re proactive, organized, and comfortable managing your own caseload
- You have experience working remotely and have your own home office setup
- You value collaboration, kindness, and growth
- You’re looking for a role that lets you have a life, too
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a case load of primarily (non-detained) removal defense/EOIR matters.
- Overseeing family based and humanitarian cases
- Working with and occassionally training paralegals
- Collaborating with managing attorney for case strategy, work flow improvements, etc.
What We Offer:
- Starting salary from $80,000, based on experience
- Compensation that grows with your impact
- Remote work with flexible hours
- Mentorship, team support, and space to grow
- A genuinely collaborative culture—we all care about each other and the work we do

A Little About Us:
Hughes Law Group is a boutique immigration firm built on empathy, excellence, and innovation. We don’t do things the traditional way just because “that’s how law firms do it.” We care deeply about our clients and about each other. We believe in making space for life outside of work, and in lifting each other up as we grow together. If that sounds like the kind of environment you’ve been hoping for—we can’t wait to meet you.
